Location Information

-
Lumphini Side Entrance: Located at the Sarasin Intersection (Wireless Road), near the Embassy of Japan. Look for the green elevated ramp rising from the street corner.
-
Benchakitti Side Entrance: Accessed via the northwest corner of Benchakitti Forest Park. You can walk through the park from the Queen Sirikit MRT station to find the connecting ramp.
-
The Route: It is a 1.6-kilometer elevated pedestrian and bicycle lane that cuts through the Polo Club and spans over the Khlong Phai Singto canal.
Visitor Essentials:
The Highlight: The “Squid Game” Aesthetic. The bridge is famous for its distinct green flooring and high concrete walls, which give it a cinematic, dystopian vibe reminiscent of the hit series (though the show was not actually filmed here). It is a top spot for moody, symmetrical street photography.
The Update: “The Multi-Color Mile.” A massive renovation project has recently refreshed the bridge, adding new lighting, designated lanes, and repainting sections. While the classic “gritty green” vibe remains in parts, other sections now feature cleaner, modern finishes and rainbow LED lights at night.
The Vibe: Urban Local. It offers a raw, behind-the-scenes look at Bangkok. You walk directly above local communities, mosques, and canals, far removed from the glitzy malls. It is very popular with joggers in the early morning and photographers at sunset.
Dress Code: Sportswear / Casual. The path is entirely outdoors and can get very hot during the day.
Opening Hours: 06:00 – 21:00 Daily.
Rules:
-
Shared Path: The path is shared between pedestrians and cyclists. Pedestrians should stay in the walking lane, and cyclists must control their speed.
-
Safety: While safe during the day, it is historically isolated. The new renovations have added better lighting, but it is still recommended to visit during active hours (morning or early evening) rather than late at night.
-
No Motorbikes: Motorbikes are strictly prohibited on the walkway.
