Arrival: The most scenic way to arrive is taking the free Anantara Shuttle Boat from Sathorn Pier (right under BTS Saphan Taksin). The boat ride itself creates a nice build-up to the experience.
Visitor Essentials:
The Highlight: The Antique Rice Barge. Unlike the modern steel yachts, these are restored wooden vessels that were once used to transport rice. The experience is intimate, silent, and slow-paced, evoking the “Venice of the East” era.
Dining Style: Premium Thai Set Menu. The cuisine is served course-by-course (Gold or Silver menus), featuring high-end interpretations of Thai classics like Tom Yum Goong with river prawns and Massaman Curry.
The Vibe: Heritage & Intimacy. With a capacity of only ~40-60 guests, it feels exclusive and quiet. There is no loud disco music—just the sound of the river and perhaps calm traditional Thai music in the background.
Dress Code: Smart Casual. Men must wear long trousers and closed shoes. Women usually opt for elegant evening wear or nice resort wear.
